Wireless alarm systems

Burglar Anti-theft alarm

If you are uncomfortable with relying on a neighbor to know if your alarm is triggering, you may want to consider a dialing alarm, also known as automatic dialing. 12% of respondents have one.

With these alarms, the dialer will communicate with you, or the designated friends and family, when your alarm is triggered. This means that you or they can contact the police or ask a neighbor to investigate the problem.

A dialer alarm will contact you or contact named friends and family members if the alarm is triggered.

Most dialer alarms allow you to program a list of three to 10 phone numbers, which will be called in the order of priority you have set. The first person they contact successfully is able to prevent the rest of the numbers from being contacted.

You can get monitoring contracts for wired or wireless alarms, but both the alarm and the installation must meet certain standards, you can not install it yourself.
